Norinco ~ SKS ~ 7.62x39mm

This Norinco SKS chambered in 7.62x39mm is a classic semi-automatic rifle in good overall condition. The metal finish shows light handling wear consistent with normal use, while the hardwood stock exhibits scattered dings and scratches but remains structurally sound. This rifle features an added muzzle brake and an aftermarket scope mounted on a receiver-cover style mount. The SKS was originally designed by Sergei Simonov in the Soviet Union and was adopted in 1945, serving as one of the most influential military rifles of the Cold War era. Norinco-produced Chinese SKS rifles became some of the most widely imported variants in the United States due to their durability, reliability, and inexpensive 7.62x39mm chambering. The serial number 12240691 may indicate production during the late 1960s or early 1970s
