Proof Research Sendero Carbon Fiber Barrel 308 Win 16.5" 1:10 for Tikka T3x

Proof Research Sendero Barrel Features The Proof Research Sendero Barrel is built from carbon fiber a construction method that sheds significant weight compared to a traditional steel barrel while retaining the rigidity a bolt-action rifle needs for consistent accuracy. Chambered in .308 Win and cut to 16.5 the barrel is engineered as a drop-in replacement specifically fitted to the Tikka T3x action simplifying installation for the owner. A 1:10 twist rate paired with five-groove rifling stabilizes the common range of .308 Win bullet weights used in both hunting and precision applications. Because it is a drop-in design the barrel installs without the extensive gunsmithing a traditional barrel swap would otherwise require letting a Tikka T3x owner upgrade the factory barrel without re-barreling the action from scratch or sending the rifle out to a smith. A 5/8x24 thread pattern at the muzzle accepts a wide range of aftermarket brakes compensators and suppressor mounts sized to that common pitch giving the shooter flexibility to manage recoil or run suppressed without any further machine work. Reducing weight at the barrel has an outsized effect on a rifle s balance and carry weight since the barrel represents one of the heaviest single components on a bolt gun and trimming that mass forward of the action makes the rifle noticeably quicker to shoulder and hold steady on target. Tikka T3x owners looking to lighten their rifle for field carry without sacrificing the accuracy the action is already known for gain the most from this upgrade particularly hunters who carry a rifle over long distances on foot. For Tikka T3x owners seeking a lighter precision-focused barrel that bolts straight onto their existing action this Proof Research Sendero barrel is available for sale at ARMSAGORA.
