Proof Research Sendero Pre-Fit Barrel 22 Creedmoor 18" Tikka T3X

Proof Research Sendero Barrel Features The Proof Research Sendero barrel blank is built around a carbon fiber wrapped design a construction method Proof Research pioneered to reduce barrel weight substantially compared to an equivalent steel profile without sacrificing rigidity or accuracy. Chambered in .22 Creedmoor and cut to 18 inches the barrel carries a 1:8 twist rate matched to stabilize the heavier for caliber bullets common to this cartridge. Five grooves are machined into the bore to balance accuracy with ease of cleaning and maintenance over the barrel s service life. This combination of chambering twist rate and groove count reflects a barrel purpose built for long range .22 Creedmoor shooting rather than a general purpose blank. This particular barrel is a pre fit option specifically machined for the Tikka T3X action meaning it is designed to thread on with minimal gunsmithing compared to a standard blank that requires custom chambering and fitting. A 5/8x24 thread pattern at the muzzle allows for a wide range of aftermarket muzzle brakes or suppressors to be added once installed. The weight savings from the carbon fiber construction are especially valuable to hunters and long range competitors who carry their rifle over rough terrain or hold positions for extended periods. For Tikka T3X owners looking to upgrade to a lighter purpose built long range barrel in .22 Creedmoor the Proof Research Sendero is available for sale at ARMSAGORA.
