Description
The Ruger American Rimfire is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .22 LR, suited to target shooting, plinking and small-game use. It has a 22-inch hammer-forged, satin blued, target-crowned barrel with a 1:16 right-hand twist and six grooves, and a 41-inch overall length.
The wood stock has checkering on the grip and forend, a rubber buttpad and a 13.75-inch length of pull. The alloy steel receiver is drilled and tapped for Weaver #12 bases, and a 3/8 rimfire scope base is machined in. The rifle weighs 6.1 pounds and includes a Williams fiber optic front sight and an adjustable rear sight.
The detachable 10-round BX-1 rotary magazine accepts all 10/22 magazines, including the BX-25 and BX-25x2. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger breaks between 3 and 5 pounds.
