Description
The Ruger Hawkeye Hunter is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, built for hunting and precision shooting. It uses a non-rotating Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor and a fixed blade-type ejector that positively ejects empty cases as the bolt moves fully rearward. A hinged solid-steel floorplate allows unloading without cycling each cartridge through the action.
The rifle has a 16.6-inch cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel with 5R rifling and a 5/8x24 thread pitch, with a factory-installed thread protector. The one-piece stainless steel bolt, free-floated barrel and LC6 trigger are paired with a three-position safety. The 20 MOA Picatinny rail is secured with four #8-40 screws over integral scope mounts machined into the solid-steel receiver. The rifle has no factory iron sights and weighs 6.7 pounds with an overall length of 36.6 inches. It holds 4 rounds and is supplied with an American walnut stock.
