Savage Arms Axis 2 7mm-08 Remington 20" Left Hand Bolt Action Rifle

Savage Axis 2 Features The Savage Arms Axis 2 is built around thread-in headspacing and a precision button-rifled barrel that together deliver tack-driving accuracy straight out of the box. The 20 carbon steel barrel wears a matte black finish and a 1:9.5 twist rate suited to the 7mm-08 Rem cartridge s typical bullet weights giving hunters consistent downrange performance on deer-sized game. Its threaded muzzle in 5/8x24 means a suppressor or brake bolts straight on without any additional machine work a real advantage for hunters managing recoil and muzzle blast in the field. The two-position safety and user-adjustable AccuTrigger tunable from 2.5 to 6 lbs let a shooter dial in a crisp predictable break that suits their own technique rather than settling for a factory-set trigger. The redesigned ergonomic stock carries enhanced texturing and a contoured pistol grip with ambidextrous palm swells so left-handed shooters get the same secure confident hold right-handed shooters have always had. A detachable box magazine holding four rounds plus one in the chamber speeds up reloads in the field and makes safe unloading at the truck or in camp simple. The rubber recoil pad soaks up felt recoil from the 7mm-08 Rem over a long day of still-hunting or sighting in at the range and the drilled-and-tapped receiver means a scope base and favorite optic mount right up without any extra fitting. At 6.7 lbs the Savage Arms Axis 2 stays light enough to carry all day on a hunt while remaining steady enough for an accurate shot when the moment finally comes.
