Savage Axis 2 22-250 Rem 20" Threaded Barrel 4-Round OD Green Bolt Action Rifle

Savage Axis 2 Features The Savage Arms Axis 2 pairs a 20 inch matte black threaded barrel with a 1:12 twist rate a rate suited to the lighter high velocity bullets typically loaded in 22-250 Rem for flat shooting varmint accuracy at extended ranges. The carbon steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 letting owners add a muzzle brake or suppressor without additional gunsmithing or a trip to a machine shop. A user-adjustable AccuTrigger breaking between 2.5 and 6 pounds gives shooters direct control over trigger feel so the pull can be set light for precision varmint work or heavier for field carry. The carbon steel receiver is drilled and tapped for scope base mounting giving hunters the flexibility to choose their own optic setup rather than being locked into a factory rail and the matte black finish on the barrel and receiver resists glare in bright field conditions. The rifle s OD Green synthetic stock is fixed with a contoured pistol grip and ambidextrous palm swells giving right-hand shooters a comfortable and familiar grip position in the field regardless of hand size. A rubber recoil pad helps manage felt recoil keeping the rifle comfortable through extended varmint hunting sessions where dozens of rounds may be fired in a single sitting. An updated ergonomic bolt handle improves control and comfort when cycling the action quickly in the field which matters when a second shot at a moving target is needed. The detachable 4 round box magazine feeds smoothly and drops free for fast reloads and its low-profile fit keeps the rifle s lines clean for carrying through brush. At 6.70 pounds with 4+1 capacity the Savage Axis 2 is a practical no-frills rifle for varmint and predator hunters chasing 22-250 Rem s flat trajectory and looking for dependable performance at an accessible price point.
