Savage Axis XP 400 Legend 20" Left Hand Bolt Action Rifle with 3-9x40mm Scope

Savage Axis XP Features The Savage Arms Axis XP is loaded with features that deliver tack-driving accuracy on every shot starting with a precision button-rifled 20 barrel threaded at 11/16x24 for muzzle device compatibility. The thread-in headspacing process used on every barrel improves accuracy potential straight from the factory which matters most in a hard-hitting straight-wall cartridge like 400 Legend. A two-position top tang safety gives the shooter fast intuitive control in the field and the trigger breaks in a 5 to 7 lb range for a predictable let-off. The updated bolt handle carries a sleek ergonomic profile that improves grip and cycling speed especially valuable when working the action in rain or cold weather with gloved hands. The black synthetic stock is molded with a pistol grip for a stable repeatable hold and the fixed design keeps the rifle simple and rugged for hard hunting use. A detachable box magazine holds 4 rounds for quick reloads between shots and the drilled and tapped matte black receiver accepts scope bases if the shooter ever wants to swap optics. As it stands the rifle ships factory-mounted and boresighted with a 3-9x40mm scope carrying a Duplex reticle so it is ready to zero and hunt out of the box. At 7.7 lbs and 40.5 overall this left-hand Axis XP is a straightforward capable choice for hunters chasing deer and hogs with the growing 400 Legend cartridge.
