Savage Arms Model 334 Compact 223 Remington 18.5" Bolt-Action Rifle

Savage Stevens 334 Compact Features The Savage Stevens 334 Compact features a crisp consistent trigger that gives shooters confidence in their shot placement without the heavy gritty pull found on many budget bolt actions. A 60 degree bolt lift with 3 locking lugs allows for faster cycling between shots letting hunters get back on target more quickly for a follow up shot in the field. The barrel is free floating and button rifled construction methods that contribute directly to the rifle s accuracy potential by keeping the barrel from contacting the stock and ensuring consistent rifling dimensions down its length. An 11 degree target crown at the muzzle protects the rifling from damage while promoting a cleaner bullet exit for consistent accuracy. A Turkish walnut stock gives the 334 Compact classic good looks along with an ergonomic shape and recoil pad designed for comfortable shooting. The matte black carbon steel receiver includes an integrated recoil lug for a strong repeatable bedding surface along with a steel MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for mounting a scope securely. A 3 position safety offers straightforward reliable control and two sling swivel studs make attaching a sling simple for carrying the rifle afield. With an 18.5 inch barrel a 3 round detachable box magazine and a 37.75 inch overall length the 334 Compact offers a well rounded value priced .223 Rem rifle for hunters and shooters of all experience levels.
