Savage Arms Axis 2 Pro 400 Legend Bolt Action Rifle 20" Forest SP Camo

Savage Axis 2 Pro Forest SP Features The Savage Axis 2 Pro Forest SP centers on the user-adjustable AccuTrigger which lets the shooter tune the break to personal preference and a thread-in headspacing design that supports out-of-the-box accuracy. The heavy sporter barrel is spiral fluted to shed weight while keeping stiffness and it is threaded 11/16x24 so a muzzle device can be added when desired. A one-piece 0 MOA rail sits on the receiver giving a solid and straightforward platform for mounting a scope and the rifle is also drilled and tapped. The updated bolt handle is shaped to improve control and comfort especially in rain or cold weather which makes working the action easier when conditions turn rough. The redesigned synthetic stock has enhanced texturing and a contoured pistol grip with ambidextrous palm swells and the user-adjustable length of pull helps fit the rifle to different shooters. Savage Forest Brush camo breaks up the outline in woodland settings while the Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote coated action helps the metal work resist the elements. A two-position top tang safety sits within easy reach of the thumb and the detachable box magazine makes loading and unloading quick. At 40.5 overall and about 7 lbs the .400 Legend rifle remains handy for blinds stands and still-hunting trips.
