Savage Impulse UltraLite Pro 6.8 Western 20" Bolt Action Rifle

Savage Impulse UltraLite Pro Features The Savage Arms Impulse UltraLite Pro pairs a straight-pull action with a 20 carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel chambered in 6.8 Western combining fast cycling with a lighter overall rifle weight. The 1:8 twist rate is matched to the heavier-for-caliber bullets commonly loaded in 6.8 Western for long-range performance. Straight-pull cycling lets the shooter run the bolt forward and back without lifting off the cheek weld keeping the sight picture steady between shots. The carbon steel receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting optics suited to long-range work and the 3+1 detachable box magazine keeps reloads quick when a follow-up shot matters. The Savage Western Camo finish on the AccuStock helps the rifle blend into open country terrain typical of western big game hunting. The AccuFit V2 synthetic system allows the shooter to adjust length of pull and comb height creating a consistent repeatable mount shot after shot. The carbon fiber wrapped barrel sheds weight compared to a traditional steel barrel a meaningful advantage on long treks at elevation while the stainless steel core underneath still delivers the stiffness and heat handling a long-range hunting barrel needs. The user-adjustable AccuTrigger breaks anywhere from 1.5 to 4 lbs letting the shooter dial in a crisp predictable release to match their technique. At 7.7 lbs the Savage Arms Impulse UltraLite Pro combines the speed of a straight-pull action with the portability backcountry hunters need for demanding western terrain.
