Arsenal 974 ~ SKS ~ 7.62x39mm

The Arsenal 974 SKS rifles are not rare, but are much less common than the Arsenal 26 or Norinco production models. This one dates from 1978, and is an interesting configuration. The numbers all match: receiver, bolt, trigger guard, stock, magazine, and even hand-inscribed on the underside of the rear sight. It was imported by Navy Arms Company of Ridgefield, NJ. It is a standard, full-length Type 56 with folding spike bayonet, cleaning rod, and hinged 10-round magazine. Add-ons are a period-type removable flash hider / compensator muzzle device and a rubber recoil pad screwed on over the steel butt plate. It's in very good condition with smooth action and a bright bore. No box or case.
