Description
The Smith & Wesson 1854 Traditional Walnut is a lever-action centerfire rifle chambered in 45-70 Government. It is built for hunters and shooters who want a classic lever gun with a modern, smooth-operating action.
The rifle has a 20-inch barrel with an 11/16-24 threaded muzzle and a 1:20 inch right-hand twist with 8 grooves. Its stainless steel construction carries an Armornite black finish. It weighs 7.1 pounds, measures 37.8 inches overall, and holds 6 rounds in its tube magazine. The gold bead front sight is paired with an adjustable XS ghost ring rear sight.
The receiver accepts optics mounts with the Marlin 1894 hole pattern. A large loop lever and a magazine tube system allow the rifle to be unloaded safely without cycling the action.
