Description
The Smith & Wesson 1854 Tactical is a lever-action centerfire rifle chambered in 45-70 Government, built for shooters who want a traditional action with modern features. The receiver and barrel are finished in stainless steel, and the rifle is offered with a black color listing.
The rifle has a 20-inch barrel with a 1:20 inch right-hand twist and 8 grooves, a 6-round tubular magazine, and an overall length of 37.8 inches. It weighs 7.1 pounds. The barrel is threaded 11/16-24 for muzzle devices. Sights are a gold bead front and an adjustable XS ghost ring rear. The tube magazine lets the shooter unload the firearm without cycling the action repeatedly. The receiver accepts mounts with the Marlin 1894 hole pattern.
