The Sons of Liberty Gun Works Liberty Fighting Barrel is an 11.5-inch replacement barrel for the AR-15 platform, designed for builders and owners who want a carbine-length upgrade. It is cut with a 1:7 twist and button rifling, which is a common choice for stable flight with heavier bullets.
The barrel is made from 41V50 chrome moly steel with a chrome-lined bore and a black phosphate finish. It is chambered in .223 Wylde, which supports both 5.56x45mm NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. The barrel extension is DLC coated, and the barrel is dimpled for secure gas block installation. The muzzle is threaded 1/2x28.
The 1/2x28 threads accept common muzzle devices and direct-thread suppressors.
