Each rifle is assembled with a new 16-inch AK Builder nitrided VZ 58 barrel and features a removable muzzle nut. The barrel is threaded 14×1 LH, making it compatible with a wide variety of popular AK-pattern muzzle devices, including flash hiders, compensators, and muzzle brakes. The rifle is finished in a durable Czech Gray DuraBake coating that is oven-cured at 350°F for exceptional corrosion resistance and long-lasting protection. To preserve the rifle's historic appearance, Southern Tactical recreates the original Czech trunnion markings, including the iconic SHE factory mark with the famous crossed swords, along with the original-style date of manufacture and serial number markings. These authentic details give the rifle a look that closely resembles the original military-issued VZ 58. The rifle is equipped with the popular "Beaver Barf" resin-impregnated wood furniture, providing the classic appearance collectors appreciate.
