Description
The Spikes Tactical Nickel Boron Bolt Carrier Group is a replacement bolt carrier group for AR-15 and M16 pattern rifles. It locks the cartridge into the chamber, extracts the spent case, and cycles the action, and it is offered in chamberings for 223 Remington, 5.56x45mm NATO and 300 Blackout.
The carrier is made from 8620 tool steel and the bolt from 158 carpenter steel. Both carry a Nickel Boron coating inside and out, including the gas key, which is forged, attached with Grade 8 hardware and properly staked. The group has a shrouded firing pin, a Mil-Spec extractor with a black insert, a Viton O-ring and a tool steel extractor. Each bolt is shot peened and tested by high pressure testing and magnetic particle inspection. The assembly weighs 11.6 ounces.
