The Spikes Tactical M16 Mil-Spec Bolt Carrier Group is a replacement bolt carrier assembly for AR-15 and M16 rifles chambered in 223 Remington, 5.56x45mm NATO, and 300 Blackout. It is intended for new builds or as an upgrade over lower-grade commercial components.
The carrier is machined from 8620 tool steel and the bolt from Carpenter 158 steel. Both are shot peened, and the bolt is high pressure and magnetic particle tested. The assembly has a black phosphate finish, a tool steel extractor with a black insert, and a Viton O-ring. The gas key is tool steel, chrome lined inside, secured with grade 8 hardware, and staked. The group weighs 11.6 ounces.
The package includes the bolt carrier group with its extractor O-ring, and the Spikes Tactical logo is laser engraved on the forward portion of the carrier.
