Tannerite 1/2 Lb Exploding Rifle Target 10 Pack

The Tannerite 1/2 Lb Exploding Rifle Target is a binary target sold as a pack of ten. Each target is built from two separately packaged components, an ammonium nitrate target material and an aluminum powder catalyst, which are combined only after the user mixes them into the included mixing container. Detonation is initiated by the impact of a centerfire rifle bullet.

The bullet must weigh 40 grains or more and travel at 2000 feet per second or faster to set off the mixed target. Pointed bullets are noted as better for shot indicators than blunt bullets because their energy is concentrated on a smaller area. The product is intended for use as a shot indicator only and should be used away from populated areas, with all observers and possible shrapnel kept more than 100 yards from the target.

Each pack includes ten 1/2 lb. targets, a mixing container, and catalyst packets.
