WEATHERBY ~ KTG 1971 ~ MARK XXII ~ .22 LONG RIFLE

The Weatherby Company set out to make the finest .22 Rimfire Rifle on the market. Their choice of materials, and design was excellent, and, being "best" is opinion, it is a darn fine firearm. They were made in 4 phases, this one being a 1971 sample from the KTG factory in Japan. As with all of them, it features a high grade walnut Monte Carlo stock with Rosewood accents, and Big Game rifle iron sights. It has a tang safety, and the lever on the action is a selector to allow autoloader or single shot mode. When it is in single shot mode, cartridges can be loaded through the gate one at a time, converting the rifle to a target rifle. These rifles are known for their accuracy.
