Weatherby Vanguard Weatherguard 6.5 PRC 24" Threaded Bolt Action Rifle

Weatherby Vanguard Weatherguard Features The Weatherby Vanguard Weatherguard is built around a hammer forged 24 inch barrel chambered in 6.5 PRC finished in a satin coating along with the receiver to resist the elements shooters encounter in serious field conditions. A 1:8 twist rate stabilizes the heavier higher ballistic coefficient bullets that make 6.5 PRC effective at extended ranges and the threaded muzzle allows shooters to add a brake or suppressor for further recoil and noise management. An M-16 style extractor improves reliability during extraction and ejection an important feature for a rifle intended for hunting where a jam cannot be tolerated. Backed by a sub MOA accuracy guarantee the rifle is engineered from the ground up to deliver precision shot after shot. A one piece forged and machined receiver features an integral recoil lug adding strength and structural integrity that helps the rifle maintain zero under repeated recoil. The two stage adjustable trigger provides a crisp predictable break that lets shooters place shots with confidence at distance while the Monte Carlo synthetic Weatherguard stock finished in black and gray resists moisture and abuse better than a traditional wood stock. A specially fit low density recoil pad helps tame the recoil of the 6.5 PRC cartridge over a long day at the range or in the field. Drilled and tapped for scope mounting this Weatherguard is ready for a hunter to add optics and head into the field with confidence.
