Description
The Wilson Combat 1911 Mainspring Housing Flat is a replacement backstrap housing for full size 1911 pistols. It is intended to improve grip texture and the look of a gun that uses a cast or polymer housing.
The housing is machined from carbon steel bar stock and has real cut checkering. It carries a low luster, glass bead blued finish. The flat profile is designed to replace the factory housing as a drop-in part, though minor fitting may be needed on some guns.
The part is listed for full size 1911 handguns with cast or polymer housings. Installation typically requires removing the grip panels and mainspring assembly from the frame.
