Description
Virtually every manufacturer of firearms made some version of the Model 67 single shot bolt action .22. Most of them hung by the farm kitchen door, near the kitchen garden, and were used to dispatch varmints intent on raiding the garden. They were used hard, and if the rabbits/squirrels/woodchucks/'possums found their way into the stew pot, they were termed flavoring. This one, on the other hand, appears to have been used minimally, and any defects present are due to storage or handling. These guns were made from 1934 to 1963, by the thousands. They were marketed as everyday tools through any outlet that would sell them from Abercrombie to Western Auto. This one apparently came from Sears, Roebuck. They are well regarded for accuracy, and the 27-inch barrel quieted the firing of standard loads remarkably well, making them a very discrete varmint rifle.
