Description
The Browning X-Bolt 2 Hunter Composite is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm PRC, built for hunting in wooded and mountain terrain as well as use at the shooting range. It is built on a Remington 700 platform and features a redesigned receiver with an added bolt guidance surface for smooth cycling, along with a lightened bolt with spiral fluting and a new handle knob.
The rifle has a 24-inch sporter-contour barrel with an M13x0.75 threaded muzzle to accept the included radial muzzle brake or thread protector cap, and an optional Browning Recoil Hawg Sporter muzzle brake is available for additional recoil reduction. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated. The three-lever DLX trigger is factory set at 3.5 pounds and is adjustable down to 3.0 pounds. The rifle holds three rounds and ships with a composite stock; it has no factory sights.
