M48 ~ 8MM Mauser

This Yugoslav M48 Mauser remains in As New In Box condition and is an excellent example of one of the finest post-war military Mauser rifles produced. Chambered in 8MM Mauser, the M48 combines the strength of the legendary Mauser action with robust military construction and outstanding collector appeal. Manufactured at the famous Kragujevac Arsenal and imported by M.A.I., this rifle features a 24-inch rifled barrel, fixed 5-round magazine, full-length military wood furniture, and the classic Mauser bolt-action system that earned worldwide respect for reliability and strength. The rifle retains its military tangent rear sight and traditional blued steel finish. According to the ARMS notes, this example is an early milled M48 rather than the later stamped M48A/B variant. Matching receiver and stock numbers are present, and the rifle bears a crest dated November 29, 1943. These details make it especially desirable to collectors of military surplus firearms and Mauser enthusiasts. Included with the rifle are a bayonet and field kit, further enhancing its collectability. Whether purchased as a historic military arm, a collectible Mauser variant, or a shooter for the 8MM Mauser cartridge, this Yugoslav M48 represents an outstanding opportunity to acquire a well-preserved example of an important military rifle.
