Description
This is a 16-inch pencil-contour barrel for AR-15 rifles, chambered in 223 Wylde. It is built for accuracy-focused shooters and is machined from gun-barrel quality bar-stock steel with a black nitride finish. The barrel uses 5R hybrid rifling with opposite-direction grooves and reduced sharp angles, which the manufacturer states reduces jacket deformation and makes the bore easier to clean. The hybrid chamber is designed to reduce bullet jump.
The barrel is designed for an AR-15 mid-length gas system. It includes a Nickel Teflon-coated M4 barrel extension, which is intended to tighten the fit between the extension and receiver. The muzzle has an 11-degree target crown, and the barrel is particle inspected and MPI inspected.
