An improved FN-designed single-stage trigger delivers a cleaner more consistent pull for enhanced control whether running precision shots or rapid fire strings. The extended receiver integrates a full rail system with M-LOK slots at the 3 6 and 9 o clock positions covering more of the barrel and gas block while extending the grip surface for improved weapon control and accessory mounting flexibility. A receiver window with heat shield allows for regulator and piston removal in the field and Torx head fasteners simplify maintenance without specialized tooling. The two-position adjustable gas regulator improves reliability across varying ammunition and suppressor configurations and the SCAR 16S Gen 2 Carbine is suppressor compatible with low backpressure forward-venting suppressors including the FN QD556.
