Description
The HEXMAG HX Shorty is a 10-round polymer rifle magazine built for AR-15 platform rifles. It is chambered for 223 Remington, 5.56x45mm NATO, and 300 Blackout, and it is offered in gray.
The magazine has redesigned feed lip geometry intended to improve strength and feeding. Stripper clip guides allow reloading from stripper clips, and a deep catch pocket is intended to hold the magazine securely in the magazine well. The floorplate is tool-less, allowing removal for field cleaning, and the magazine uses a heat-treated stainless steel spring.
The HX Shorty is listed as compatible with AR rifles. The raw listing also references Hexmag Grip Tape and the SENTRY HexID Color Ammunition Identification System as optional accessories.
