Description
The Luth-AR MBA-3 is a modular buttstock assembly for AR-15 carbine rifles, sold as a bundle with a mil-spec .223 buffer kit. It is intended for upgrading or replacing a worn or broken stock on a rifle chambered in .223 Remington or 5.56x45mm NATO.
The stock body is made of glass-filled nylon and weighs about 1.13 pounds, or roughly 18 ounces by the listing's figure. It has a 10-24 thread pitch and a flat-bottom index set screw intended to reduce rattle and hold the stock in a chosen position. A 3-axis adjustable butt plate allows horizontal length-of-pull adjustment, vertical fit against the shoulder, and a half-inch lateral cast. Length of pull extends to 15 5/8 inches and collapses to 11 11/16 inches. A Picatinny rail on the underside of the stock body accepts accessories.
The kit includes the MBA-3 buttstock assembly, a 6-position mil-spec carbine buffer tube, a .223 carbine buffer spring, a buffer body, a latch plate and a lock ring. It fits AR-15 carbine receivers that use a .223 buffer tube.
