Description
The Magpul MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight is an all-steel back-up front sight for the AR-15 platform. It mounts to a Picatinny rail and is intended as a backup to primary optics or as a standalone iron sight.
The hooded front sight arm is designed to aid faster sight acquisition while reducing snagging. The steel body carries a corrosion-resistant QPQ finish in black. When stowed, the sight measures 1.71 inches from the sight base's leading edge to the top of the hood. When deployed, detents hold it at standard AR sight height.
When paired with the MBUS Pro Sight rear, the front sight can function as a diopter-style aperture-within-aperture sight, depending on its placement relative to the rear sight.
