Marlin 1895G Guide Gun 45-70 Government Lever Action Rifle

This Marlin Model 1895G lever-action rifle is chambered in the powerful .45-70 Government cartridge and is in very good overall condition. The blued metal finish shows light handling wear, while the hardwood stock and forend remain attractive with only minor cosmetic marks consistent with normal use. Features include the factory ported barrel and high-visibility fiber-optic front sight. The Marlin 1895G, commonly known as the "Guide Gun," was introduced as a compact, hard-hitting hunting rifle intended for use in dense woods and rugged backcountry environments. Built on Marlin's proven Model 1895 action, the Guide Gun's shortened barrel and powerful .45-70 Government chambering made it especially popular among hunters pursuing large game such as elk, moose, and bear.
