Noveske Afghan 5.56 NATO 14.5" Threaded Barrel, Silver

Noveske Afghan Barrel Features The Noveske Afghan barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel with a 1:7 twist chambered in 5.56 NATO to reliably stabilize a wide range of bullet weights. Its Extra Thicc contour carries Noveske s disruptive deep fluting pattern removing weight and improving heat dissipation without sacrificing the barrel s rigidity. A hand-polished proprietary Noveske match chamber and extended feed ramps are machined into the barrel aimed at improving feeding reliability and reducing chamber-related accuracy variation. At 14.5 inches this barrel is a popular choice for pinned-and-welded 16 inch configurations or SBR builds seeking a balance between maneuverability and reduced overall length. A mid-length gas system paired with a pinned .936 inch low-profile gas block keeps gas timing consistent an important factor for reliability at this barrel length. The bead-blasted silver finish resists heat discoloration through repeated firing strings while giving the barrel a distinctive non-anodized look. A 60-degree muzzle crown protects the rifling at its most vulnerable point helping preserve accuracy over the barrel s service life. Threaded 1/2x28 for standard AR-15 muzzle devices the Noveske Afghan barrel gives builders a lightweight fluted option for a 14.5 inch 5.56 NATO build.
