Noveske OG Barrel 5.56 12.5" Threaded Mid-Length Silver

Noveske OG Barrel Features The Noveske OG barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel with a 1:7 twist rate chosen to reliably stabilize a broad range of 5.56 NATO bullet weights with match-level consistency. Each barrel receives Noveske s hand-polished proprietary match chamber a process intended to smooth feeding and reduce chamber-related accuracy variation compared to a standard reamed chamber. The extended hand-polished feed ramps further ease the transition from magazine to chamber improving on the sharper factory ramps found on many mil-spec barrels. At 12.5 inches with an M4-style barrel extension this configuration keeps the rifle compact while still giving the mid-length gas system room to cycle smoothly. The mid-length gas system paired with a pinned .750 inch low-profile gas block produces softer recoil impulse and more consistent cycling than a shorter carbine-length system on the same barrel length. Noveske finishes the barrel in a bead-blasted silver coating that resists heat discoloration during sustained firing strings. A headspaced bolt matched specifically to this barrel along with a gas tube sized to the mid-length system are included to simplify assembly for customers building their own upper receiver. With a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle for standard AR-15 muzzle devices this Noveske OG barrel gives builders a proven individually serialized option for a mid-length 5.56 NATO build.
