Description
The Wilson Combat High-Ride Beavertail Drop-In Grip Safety is a replacement grip safety for 1911 pistols, designed to improve handgun control and reduce the hammer bite and discomfort associated with stock grip safeties. It is intended for the Colt Enhanced 1911 Commander and Officer models.
This part is stainless steel with a blued finish and works with either a Commander-style hammer or a bobbed spur hammer. Slight modifications to the beavertail trigger engagement area may be required for proper installation. Wide, flat hammers without a horizontal opening are not compatible and must be replaced.
Enhanced pistols typically come with a duckbill grip safety, and this drop-in part is sized for their radiused frame cut. Do not modify aluminum frames, and do not remove the outer surface coating.
