Description
The Faxon Gunner is an 11.5-inch AR-15 barrel chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, built for shooters who want reduced weight without giving up durability. Its Gunner profile blends the Government and Pencil profiles, aiming to keep the strength of the former while gaining the lighter, more maneuverable feel of the latter.
The barrel is made from 4150 CMV steel with a black nitride finish, uses a 1:8 twist rate, and is button rifled. Each barrel is magnetic particle inspected and air-gauge tested. The profile is intended to keep balance closer to the shooter's body to reduce fatigue, and the description notes it is suited to long-term suppressor use.
This barrel is designed for AR-15 platform rifles.
