Description
The Faxon Duty Series Gunner is a 16-inch AR-15 barrel chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and designed for shooters who want a lighter barrel that remains durable enough for extended use. It uses a Gunner profile that blends the Government and Pencil contours, aiming to combine the strength of the heavier profile with the reduced weight of the slimmer one.
The barrel is made from 4150 steel with a 1:8 twist rate and a black QPQ nitride finish. Each barrel is button rifled and magnetic particle inspected, and it is air-gauge tested for accuracy. The profile is intended to keep the rifle's balance closer to the shooter, which may reduce fatigue over long sessions.
The barrel fits AR-15 rifles with a mid-length gas system.
