The Holosun IRIS 1 IR is a compact infrared laser sight designed to mount to a Picatinny rail on a firearm. It is a single-function laser device with a black anodized 7075 aluminum housing.
The unit weighs 4.6 oz and measures 3.4 inches long, 1.6 inches wide, and 1.2 inches high. Its redesigned housing is reported to reduce weight by 33% and overall height by 20% compared with the prior design. An on-board fire button supports momentary or constant-on operation, and a rear-facing selector switch sets modes and power for both the on-board button and the included remote activation button.
The IRIS 1 IR fits standard 1913 Picatinny rails and is offered in an infrared version. The included remote activation button allows the laser to be switched on without using the on-board button.
