The Midwest Industries AK Picatinny Adapter replaces the standard trunnion on Yugo M70, M72, and M90 AK rifles with a Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny rail. This allows the rifle to mate with a wider range of modern 1913-style stocks, including fixed and side-folding configurations that otherwise do not fit these rifles.
The adapter is machined from 6061 hardcoat anodized aluminum in a black finish. It bolts in place of the factory trunnion, preserving the rifle's overall function while changing its stock compatibility. Installation is described as taking about 15 minutes with the proper tools.
Intended for owners who want to move from a fixed wood stock to a folding or adjustable modern stock, the adapter is made in the USA by Midwest Industries.
