Description
The Otis Ripcord is a one-pass bore cleaner for rifles, designed to be pulled from breech to muzzle without a gravity feed. A rigid, helix-shaped rubber core holds the braided Nomex cleaning surface against the bore so it engages the rifling. The surface is rated for heat up to 700 degrees F, allowing use while the barrel is still warm.
The cleaner measures 36 inches overall and includes 10 inches of cleaning surface. Both ends are threaded 8-32, so a bore brush or other Otis components can be attached for a more thorough clean. Calibers listed for this model are .308 Winchester, 7.62x51mm NATO, .30-06 Springfield and .30-30 Winchester. Only the Ripcord itself is included.
