Savage Axis 2 XP 22-250 Rem 20" Threaded Rifle with 3-9x40 Scope

Savage Axis 2 XP Features The Savage Arms Axis 2 XP pairs a 20 inch matte black threaded barrel with a 1:12 twist rate a rate suited to the lighter high velocity bullets typically loaded in 22-250 Rem for flat shooting varmint accuracy. The carbon steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 letting owners add a muzzle brake or suppressor without additional gunsmithing. A user-adjustable AccuTrigger breaking between 2.5 and 6 pounds gives shooters control over trigger feel for a cleaner break on precision shots. The carbon steel receiver is drilled and tapped for optic mounting and this rifle arrives with a 3-9x40mm Duplex scope already mounted and boresighted with tool-less windage and elevation adjustments. The rifle s OD Green synthetic stock is fixed with a contoured pistol grip and ambidextrous palm swells and its adjustable length of pull lets shooters of different builds find a comfortable fit. A rubber recoil pad helps manage felt recoil keeping the rifle comfortable through extended varmint hunting sessions. An updated ergonomic bolt handle improves control and comfort when cycling the action in the field. At 7.60 pounds with a detachable 4 round box magazine for 4+1 capacity the Savage Axis 2 XP is a complete ready-to-hunt package for varmint and predator hunters chasing 22-250 Rem s flat trajectory.
