Weatherby Vanguard Obsidian 7mm PRC 20" Threaded Bolt Action Rifle

Weatherby Vanguard Obsidian Features The Weatherby Vanguard Obsidian is chambered in 7mm PRC and backed by Weatherby s SUB-MOA accuracy guarantee giving hunters confidence in every shot taken at extended range. The 20 inch cold hammer forged barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for the addition of a muzzle brake or suppressor and its 1:9 twist rate stabilizes the heavier high ballistic coefficient bullets favored in this cartridge. A two stage match grade adjustable trigger breaks cleanly and consistently letting shooters place shots precisely without fighting a heavy or creeping pull. The three position safety and M16 style extractor add a further layer of dependable field proven function to every outing. A weather resistant Monte Carlo synthetic stock gives the Vanguard Obsidian a raised comb that lines the shooter s eye up naturally behind a mounted scope improving comfort and consistency shot to shot. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics so mounting a scope base is straightforward without any gunsmithing. Blued finishes on the barrel and receiver resist corrosion in the field while keeping the rifle s classic understated profile. Weatherby built the Vanguard line to bring premium accuracy to hunters at an accessible price and the Obsidian in 7mm PRC extends that philosophy to one of today s most capable long range hunting cartridges.
