Proof Research Ascension Jungle 7mm Backcountry 20" Threaded Barrel 4-Round Rifle

Proof Research Ascension Features The Proof Research Ascension is engineered around a carbon fiber wrapped match grade barrel that sheds substantial weight compared to a traditional steel contour while maintaining the rigidity needed for consistent repeatable accuracy at extended range. The 1-in-8 twist rate is matched to heavier high-BC projectiles in 7mm Backcountry stabilizing them for flatter trajectories and better performance in wind which means hunters can confidently stretch their effective range on big game. A bolt action provides the mechanical reliability and simplicity that hunters and long-range shooters have trusted for generations cycling smoothly shot after shot in the field. The 5/8x24 threaded barrel gives shooters the flexibility to run a suppressor for reduced recoil and noise or a muzzle brake for faster recovery between shots on target. The Black Jungle Monte Carlo stock is built from carbon fiber a material chosen for its strength-to-weight advantage over traditional wood or fiberglass keeping the overall rifle weight down to just 6 lbs 4 oz for easier carry on long hunts and backcountry treks. The Monte Carlo comb geometry positions the shooter s eye in line with a mounted optic for a fast repeatable cheek weld shot after shot improving comfort and consistency in the field. With no sights included the receiver is ready for the shooter to mount their optic of choice for their specific hunting or long-range application. Feeding from a 4+1 capacity magazine the Ascension balances a lightweight carry profile with enough onboard ammunition for follow-up shots without slowing down the hunt making it a purpose-built rifle for serious backcountry hunters who demand precision without added bulk.
