Proof Research Ascension 7mm Backcountry 20" Threaded Bolt Action Rifle

Proof Research Ascension Features The Proof Research Ascension is built around a carbon fiber wrapped match-grade barrel that sheds significant weight compared to a traditional steel barrel while maintaining the rigidity needed for consistent repeatable accuracy at extended range. The 20-inch barrel s 1-in-8 twist rate is matched to stabilize the newer high-BC 7mm Backcountry projectiles designed for long-range hunting performance. A threaded 5/8x24 muzzle allows the addition of a suppressor or muzzle brake to help tame recoil and manage sound during hunts. The bolt action design offers a reliable straightforward operating system trusted by hunters chasing game at extended distances. The carbon fiber stock finished with a Green Jungle Monte Carlo pattern keeps total rifle weight to just 6 lbs 4 oz one of the lightest options in the Proof Research lineup for hunters who carry their rifle over long distances in mountainous terrain. With a 4+1 capacity the rifle balances a compact feeding system with enough reserve capacity for follow-up shots on game. With no factory sights installed the receiver is set up for a scope to be mounted directly keeping the rifle streamlined for a dedicated long-range optic. Rounding out a purpose-built package the Proof Research Ascension gives long-range hunters and precision shooters an ultralight rifle built for demanding terrain and extended-range accuracy.
