Description
The Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit is a right-hand, outside-the-waistband holster for compact handguns. It uses the GLS (Grip Lock System), which secures the pistol when holstered and releases it when the shooter's middle finger is applied to the release with a standard shooting grip.
The holster body is made of SafariSeven, a lightweight synthetic nylon blend that is non-abrasive to a gun's finish and tolerant of extreme high and low temperatures. The finish is smooth and the color is black. The holster is listed as adjustable to fit more than 60 firearms.
The 578 fits the Glock 19, 19X, 23, 32 and 45, the Springfield XDS 4.0, and the S&W SD9VE and SD40VE, in 9mm Luger and .40 S&W. It mounts with an injection-molded paddle or an adjustable injection-molded belt loop, and the belt loop allows cross-draw carry.
