Description
The Safariland 578 GLS Pro-Fit is a left-hand outside-waistband holster with a polymer paddle mount. It is built around the GLS (Grip Lock System), which secures the firearm when holstered and releases it when the shooter's middle finger is applied with a standard shooting grip.
The holster body is made from SafariSeven, a nylon blend described as non-abrasive to a gun's finish and tolerant of extreme high and low temperatures. The Pro-Fit design is adjustable and is listed to fit over 60 firearms, including standard-frame pistols similar to the GL17, GL20 and GL37, Sig P228, P229 and P220 Carry with rail, Beretta APX 9/40, and Springfield XD 4-inch and XD-M 3.8-inch models.
The package includes an injection-molded paddle and an adjustable injection-molded belt loop, which allows cross-draw carry. The holster can be worn with the paddle alone, without a belt.
